We’re Having a Baby!

I squealed at MB.

He did not squeal back.

Really?  – he asked with that typical my wife is being overly hysterical scrunched up face.

Yes! – I answered – well maybe.

Maybe we’re having a baby? – responded MB growing ever weary – like you took a test you’re pregnant we’re having a baby?

Noooooo – I retorted – the I can just tell I have to be pregnant kind of baby.

Right – he said.

And that is the story of how we were not really having a baby.

Me & My Dream

The other night {and previous nights} I had a dream.  I dreamt that I was out somewhere — I think at a party at someone’s house — and I was looking at my chin in the mirror.  While looking, I realized I had this pretty disgusting looking pimple on my face and I started to squeeze at it.  First a bunch of water ran out and then out pops this white and red little plug about the size of a penny that is about 4 inches thick.  In the dream I run to my husband and show him the plug triumphantly — fully relieved that whatever this is off of my face.

101 in 1001

Now that the wedding is over, it’s pretty easy to see my grappling for the brand new, exciting and fun. I want something to give me a little direction and focus and I want to avoid smothering my husband with good wifelyness in the process. I’ve waffled about what to do — start a new career, build a business, have a baby, buy a house. These are all very concrete, yet quasi nebulous tasks for this late 20something {eek!} to take on in an undetermined amount of time.  This is why when I ran across the Day Zero Project, I decided that I would give it a shot.  And I’m pretty pumped.
