A Detailed Account of A Marriage and All Things Relative
My extreme apologies for my prolonged absence. I’ve happily been exploring some career options this week and will be back in the saddle to tell you all about it this weekend. In the meantime, here is my Halloween wish for you.

After our initial church date which followed hot on the heels of our ill-fated first meeting, I realized, after hashing this out with a few of our mutual friends and my sorority sisters, that MB had a weensy crush on yours truly. I was super conflicted. I liked the 2 times we hung out and as mentioned, he was exactly what I wanted in a dater, but whats the f un in that? Getting mired down in another boring, sort of hurtful, lame long-term relationship when I could {and DID} make out with every single human on the planet?
I decided for the latter.
This weekend, we hosted my brother and his fiance at our house. While we weren’t the sole reason for their visit, it was really awesome to hang out with them. I really wish they lived closer.
I digress.
What really had me trippin’ was that I absolutely did NOT have time to clean up our tiny little apartment for their visit. So the joint was a mess — I haven’t cleaned in A MONTH!
As you all well know, I “ran” the Wolf Trap 5k on Saturday. I use the term run loosely as my time was a paltry 30:16 and when I finally crossed the finish line, I almost collapsed, but we’ll get to that.
Saturday morning at 7:15 am came really quick for HuzBand and I. As in MB was not at all prepared for it. But after me threatening to throw a hissy fit, we made it to North Western VA to Wolf Trap National Park, with plenty of time to spare.
After our fateful first meeting at an ice skating rink, and what I remember as a terse conversation that followed, MB diligently harassed me, over Instant Messenger, the following Saturday to hang out. Trying not to lead this really nice guy on, I proclaimed that I had a mound of studying to do and had to go to church {I RARELY went to mass in college} so if he wanted to join me for any of these things that’d be fine. For some reason, he agreed, to all of them. Flustered, I tried to give him my phone number, but omitted the last digit accidentally and signed off.
Forcing MB, when he arrived at my sorority’s suite, where I live to call the main line. Poor kid. Except, he didn’t know the main line number. Uh oh.
Recently I ran 5 whole Princess Miles. In under 45 minutes!! I’m so thrilled with myself.
However, last night I was in a WORLD of hurt. Seriously, even my tush hurt. So upsetting. I was lamenting my aches and pains to Husband who reminded me that my body was just getting used to all these new exercises, and the new routine, which, I remembered is super outstanding.
It occurred to me as I was crunching my butterfinger mini that I have a lot of fantastic readers who have absolutely NO idea how MB and I met, fell in and out of love {many times over} and finally got engaged. I gave bits and pieces of the story on Bride and Blog, before I was a better blogger, and am now ready to spill the whole story. Enjoy!

My sincerest apologies to the faithful that have seen this picture and the slide show over and over and over again. I’m clearly not over it.
MB and I have married for two GLORIOUS months. In a way the time has FLOWN. This time last year I felt like the months were meanly DRAGGING but now I feel we are moving at super warp speed. At the same time I feel like MB and I have married FOR-EV-ER. And not in the bad way. I can’t remember my life without him as my husband, because frankly, I don’t want to remember a life where I wasn’t so totally blissed out on love 24/7. All dorkiness aside we’re pretty pumped.
As part of our 2 month anniversary celebration we made one big huge life couple decision. About children.
This is the baby of HC’s bestie, whom I stalk on the regular. Do you NOT want to demand him for your own?!
