A few weeks ago, I got my Rear in Gear for the Tony Snow Memorial 5k in Alexandria. There was tons of support there for him and other cancer fighters that was really inspirational. Of course my favorite cheerleader was there.
L’s first Thanksgiving as LNRB: Take I
As noted, we spent the holiday with my family in Jtown as the result of my work schedule. To this end, MB’s family came to NOVA to celebrate with us, in style, plus turkey a few weeks early — so we were able to bask in married glory with all our family for our first major holiday with matching last names.
jan reports that turkeys in fact ONLY have one gobbler
As you can see I was pretty pumped about my decorations.
Our Favorites
Thanksgiving Eve
I rarely blog in real time, but seeing as how my favorite holiday is upon us, it is completely necessary. Today {not tomorrow} is my all time favorite holiday. Thanksgiving Eve.
Random picture of Oakland, where my heart is, sorry.

The Worst $80 I Ever Spent
Last week, while having my nightly chat with my mama, I received this:
Oh! Apparently I signed myself up for a 10K and promptly forgot about it. Whoops!
Misery Hates Company
Yesterday, I had a terrible, diagnosable case of the Mondays. I was all sorts of a raging lunatic fit with crying, foot stomping, fit throwing and candy eating {yuuuuum! twizzlerssssss!!!}.
Away From My Computer
I’m out chasing my dreams. Sorry. But I have like 89 million things to tell you all about. But make sure you’re all up to date with our wedding in the meantime.
See you soon!
“I Can Wait on an Elevator”
I work at a cabinet level agency, meaning, without sounding like a jerk, we’re a pretty big deal. I mean really, President Obama picked my boss’ boss’ boss’ boss himself. And they’re friends. Like have lunch friends. The secretary under which I operate is in short a huge deal.

Princess Miles: Cancelled
Now before you go getting your petticoats all bunched up let me be perfectly clear that we are not canceling the half marathon. Just the location. To whit:
Last week, in an effort to continue our revamped budgeting effort, I was meticulously going through our copious travel plans for 2010. One trip that we are both looking forward to is a visit to Nanny and PopPop C in February where they will be lounging in a vacation home in Florida very near Walt Disney World.
