Merry Holidays 09 — Part 3 of 6100

After the pickle was found the Gbread house decorated Christmas eve came with a start!  Big Paul and I did our traditional last minute shopping for Janny and then we were home for me to make a very tasty calzone for Christmas Eve Dinner.  Behold, the variation of the Pioneer Woman’s Cowboy Calzone.

Super simple and SUPER tasty this was a huge hit at the very picky dinner table of my mom, grammy, brother and husband.  Nom!

First, cook up your ground beef {or turkey} and add the onions and  ‘maters.

After the mixture has cooled a bit, in a large mixing bowl combine with ricotta cheese, and other grated cheeses, in my case we used some provolone and some cheddar.

Then take your store bought pizza crust {avoid thin crusts, please} and cut into squares.

Then spoon in your filling, pinch the edges closed and bake according the the pizza dough directions until they are golden brown.

And viola!

Serve with your favorite pasta or pizza sauce.  And Moscado.

Delicious!  What is your favorite holiday meal?
